The weather is warmer, the sunlight is shining and it is time to dive into your dreaded spring cleaning. Cleaning your home is not an easy job. It is time consuming and annoying but it needs to be done year after year. Let us help make cleaning your home easier and faster. Here are some tips and tricks to make spring cleaning more enjoyable.

Get organized. The first thing that you need to do before you even begin cleaning is to make a list of the things that you want to accomplish. For example, where are you going to start? Are you going to start with the kitchen or your bedroom? We suggest starting in the busiest rooms in the house: the kitchen and living rooms.

Be prepared. Gather all required cleaning supplies such as buckets and cleaning soap. If you do not have a certain product that you need, go out and purchase it before you start cleaning so that you do not have to leave home in the middle of your spring cleaning extravaganza. Keep them with you as you move from room to room. Consider what you are cleaning before you begin the process. Check the cleaning tags on all of your furniture pieces before you put any cleaning solution on them. Click here to learn more about cleaning your microfiber sofa.

Have a plan. Obviously, you are going to need to tidy up the room before you begin cleaning. Vacuum the rooms first and then move on to individual aspects of each room. If you would really like to make sure that you clean every part of your home, make a check list and check off items as you complete them. Spring is the perfect time to switch up your sofa cushions to keep them fresh and balanced.

Include your family. Cleaning your entire home yourself will certainly give you a headache. You are not the only one living in your home, so why should you be the only one cleaning it? Have your children and husband help with the easy tasks that you don’t necessarily need to complete yourself.  Have your children pick up their toys and other items that are misplaced. Have your husband do all of the heavy lifting and the moving of the furniture.

Invite your best friend. If you are on your own when it comes to spring cleaning, invite your best friend over to help. This will give you time to bond and socialize while you are getting the cleaning done. If your friends are starting their spring cleaning, volunteer to help at their home so that they will return the favor. Don’t forget to reward your friend with a glass of wine and dinner after you are done!

Turn on the music. Cleaning your entire house without having music would be extremely boring. Turn on your music and dance around while you are dusting and vacuuming your home!
